Hi friends, find my long bio directly below and my short bio (as well as photos for press) beneath the picture of me and my pup!
I’m an avid reader, writer, editor, and blogger. My novel, SHAD HADID AND THE ALCHEMISTS OF ALEXANDRIA is forthcoming from HarperCollins (2022). I’m also a professional editor with Angelella Editorial, eager to help writers improve their craft and level up their stories.
For my writing, I’ve been commissioned to write a short story for UNICEF and also selected for the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance’s Dibner Fellowship. I mentor for the UK-based WriteMentor program, PitchWars, and Author Mentor Match. Some other hobbies include baking (though I’m a total amateur) and volunteering, whether to read to preschoolers or teach English courses. I’ve also recently gotten (very) into yoga to balance my uncontrollable sweet tooth.
Whenever I can, I try and travel back to my native country of Lebanon. Oh, and I’m Lebanese-American (dual citizen) and speak fluent Arabic, so feel free to drop the introductory “marhaban” and I’ll throw back an “ahlan”.
Now, enjoy a picture of me and the pup, Sushi!
